Hey Souad, thanks for your kind words, I appreciate your willingness to ask questions. Best wishes for the application for this program. I am happy to respond to your questions:

1. What do you expect from a good mentee, whether explicitly or implicitly? the key objective is LEARNING rather CROSS LEARNING, aspiration to learn would make a mentee “different” from others
2. What were your personal expectations for the mentees you supported?- Sincere efforts to connect and dialogue
3. How do you assess the strengths and weaknesses of a mentee’s project? it’s done by ICHORD team
4. What advice would you give for building a solid and trusting mentoring relationship? Self-discipline and professional attitude
5. How do you tailor your support to a mentee’s local or institutional context? by listening the context, and navigating with the experience and literature
6. In your view, what makes a mentorship successful? the vision and belief of mutual benefit
7. My goal is to bridge infectious disease research and NTDs. What advice would you offer to make the most of this kind of mentorship? take up a topic and deal with it thru the mentorship duration and bring it to a logical end in the form of product- a proposal, operational research, paper, abstract etc
8. My research topic is still underexplored in my country. How can I use the mentorship to advance such a specific project? hope you have provided your expectations in the proposal.

once again thanks for your time and amazing questions. best regards.
