Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) affect over 1 billion people worldwide, causing blindness, disability, stigma, and trapping families in cycles of poverty.
In Africa, these preventable and treatable diseases still rob millions of health, dignity, and opportunity.
The good news? We already have the tools to eliminate NTDs, from proven medicines to groundbreaking vaccines and innovative financing models. But progress remains fragile. Cuts in foreign aid, competing health priorities, and other emerging challenges threaten to reverse hard-won gains.
No single organisation or country can win this fight alone. It will take all of us, governments, health leaders, technical experts, donors, and communities, working together to protect progress and accelerate elimination.
