A new paper posted on PLOS Neglected Tropical Disease discusses the use of education and entertainment, “edutainment,” to disseminate information, promote health education and influence health behaviours. The objective is to address audiences in different settings, including educational institutions and community health campaigns. Edutainment can consist of anything from performance art to video games. This method allows health workers to address different aspects of the prevention of parasitic diseases.
