There is a dual burden of HIV-FGS cases in Ghana. This new paper written by Asampong et al, examines stakeholder perspectives on integrating FGS prevention and control with HIV care in endemic areas of Ghana. The study found that many community health officers and community members exhibited knowledge gaps on FGS. The article calls for increased collaboration between healthcare professionals, creating standardised clinical protocols, and training community health workers.
