Improving MDAs using qualitative research methods

The focus area will address the use of qualitative methods as a means to strengthen Mass Drug Administration (MDA)

The focus area is open to all individuals who have experience with qualitative methods and their use with neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). When joining the focus area you will be encouraged to join as an iCHORDS member, if you are not already.

The purpose of this focus area is to:

  • Share experiences on using qualitative research methods to improve MDA for NTDs, including but not limited to the“Guide to Improve MDA Using Qualitative Methods”
  • Provide feedback to RTI on the guide including how it is being used, impact, and input to future versions.
  • Provide feedback to the NTD community on the availability of this and other qualitative methods and on remaining gaps and challenges related to strengthening MDAs.

We will aim to hold the first meeting by the end of April/early May, however this may change depending on the number of interested participants.
