CDD Strengthening & Support

This focus area focuses on key issues surrounding Community Drug Distributors (CDDs) such as CDD training, motivation, and incentives.

The CDD Strengthening and Support Task Team aims to:

  • Discuss and share research protocols and tools that can be adapted by countries and partners
  • Share country-specific updates based on projects that focus area members are working on
  • Development and disseminate key knowledge deliverables such as podcasts, papers, and best research practices as it relates to CDD Strengthening and support

The CDD role-play guide listed below was developed by the CDD strengthening & support focus area group to help provide resources to CDDs. The role-play guide outlines various scenarios that a CDD may encounter during MDA, and has them role-play or practice how they might handle these challenging situations.
This document is a “living” document and additional role-plays can be added as recommendations are provided. In the guide there is a link to a survey to provide feedback and suggestions for the ongoing development to the guide.
Thank you to the members who dedicated their time in developing this guide: Kiran Agrahari, Kazeem Argogundade, Tara Brant, Leshawn Benedict, Rajshree Das, Carolyn Henry, Alison Krentel, Hammed Mogaji, Rachel Strohm & Upendo J Mwingira.
