Smith B Babiaka holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Buea/Nairobi. He obtained his PhD in Chemistry in March 2019. Smith’s current area of interest is Medicinal Chemistry and Microbial Natural Product Drug Discovery. He is currently a Georg Forster Alexander von Humboldt and Georg Forster-Bayer Research Fellow at the Interfaculty Institute of Microbiology and Infection Medicine, Department of Microbial Bioactive Compounds, University of Tuebingen,Tuebingen, Germany.
