Anouk is the communications and programme manager for the GSA, driving and monitoring the alliances activities, using a multi-stakeholder engagement and coordination approach to facilitate & progress the GSA’s working groups and work streams. Anouk’s background is in schistosomiasis biomedical research. She was awarded her Ph.D on schistosomiasis research from Imperial College, London and went on to do post-doctoral research at the Natural History Museum, researching schistosomiasis in a sub-Saharan African setting, working with national medical research institutes and researchers, leading fieldwork teams, project managing and analysing data. She is using this experience combined with her passion for science communication and engagement in her current role, developing a multi-stakeholder collaborative platform to enhance and progress schistosomiasis control and elimination.
