About:

I am a social anthropologist with interests in global health research and intervention programmes in sub-Saharan Africa and their associated policies, practices and ethics. I am interested in exploring these not as separate domains of practice, but as deeply embedded in – and reflective of- realms of social, economic and political life. My doctoral research was carried out in Western Kenya, with an HIV research and intervention focus. My current focus is on Skin-NTDS; namely podoconiosis, scabies and mycetoma. and I now work with colleagues in Rwanda, Sudan and Ethiopia.
