About:

Upendo Mwingira is a leading expert in the control and elimination of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). She serves as a Senior Technical Advisor for RTI International on the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Act to End NTDs | East program. Her 17-year career has been in public health, research and program leadership focusing mostly in NTDs. Dr Mwingira serves in various global and national technical/research working groups. She has published in leading scientific journals and disseminated her research findings in various local and international fora.
